My Santa is too fat!

I put the tree up last weekend and decorated it. I put other decorations here and there in the living room and on the inside of the front door. I have a Santa with bells that should go on the outside of the front door - but it keeps falling down!
Now I have to go out to buy some of that tape which is sticky on both sides and try and get it hanging with that. I was intending to be here all afternoon today but I will have to have a break
What keeps you away from Lotting?

You want me to trim him down? Hand me the scissors and cutterand I would glue him back up. I always find time to drop by even when I'm busy.

Do your scissors and cutter work for other things?
Santa is not the only thing that is overweight here

Maybe it's best to wait until after the holidays or you might have to make two trips

I put a wreath hanging thingie that hangs from the top of the door . . . and then just hang stuff. Sometimes it gets windy and tape alone won't keep things up here. I know tape doesn't hold me up . Ah, MysD . . . it's been so busy this year - and extra busy at this time - particularly this week as we have a lot to do before the kids are out of school for vacation. In a few minutes, off I go again . . .

I got the tape and fixed the Santa and it stayed up - for about three hours. Then I heard it fall down again I think that tomorrow I will bring it to the inside of the door and hang a snowman made of felt (which is lighter and might stay put) outside.
You are on and off just like before and everything seems so familiar here that it feels like was never away at all

@mysdianait Oh no! How did the snowman work out? We are going to put up Christmas decorations tomorrow finally - I need to think what we will put on our door!
Yah, that part has not changed ! Glad to see you back !

Hi there!
It's similar but it's not mine. I guess mine was to oheavy and I have put it inside now where it is easier to hang it and it no longer falls down. I put a snowman on the outside now and that stays put.

That is what I am doing at the moment but in the past I could be here all afternoon - and sometimes all of the evening too.

My monthly visits back to Hamilton. My friend keeps me too busy to get to the library to use the computers there. I don't have a portable device and until a few days ago, she didn't have internet...

@mysdianait That's all my friend has: phone and tablet with limited data until she opted for internet. She plans on getting some kind of computer but hasn't as of yet. And yes, it is frustrating.

@BarBaraPrz It sounds more complicated over there than here where internet is available almost everywhere at quite cheap rates. I have wi-fi at home which serves all of my devices and if I'm out they connect to whatever is available at a very small cost.

Is that frustrating for you when you are there? Fortunately I have my phone and my tablet but I find the screen too small to be here for long if I am using either of them. The best place is from my desktop like now.

@May2k8 It certainly is a long time. I was not here much this year. It feels like coming home though with so many familar faces still here

Not really any spirit. More a case of 'if you can't beat 'em join 'em' as there are decoraions everywhere.
He fell down again so I put him on the inside of the door where I can hang him better and put a snowman (which is lighter) on the outside. Now I can get on with things without having to worry abiout him falling again
Good to see you are still here too!

@Beatburn Happy Christmas to you too!
Santa is not the only one relieved. It's good not to open the door and find him on the floor
I am seeing a lot of familiar faces and so far I think I have not forgotten anyone. I never forget those who help me to have fun

You do a tree for New Year? Is it different from a Christmas tree?

@Nevena83 Ah now I get you. I thought that you might have two but now it makes sense. You still have plenty of time to get one up for the New Year
