New Computer Tower Back on My Desk and I Didn't Have to do the Work Transferring Everything Over! And a Bit About My Day

I picked up my new and old computer towers this after noon after my computer person spent yesterday and today transferring over my programs and files that were on the old, broken one. I still have to register several programs especially the ones that I've updated. I tried to find where to register the tower itself which is a HP product, but could find nothing online. I will check with the person that helped me before giving up. Today, I saw my doctor at nine am briefly so he could fill out a form for me to continue having off work on short-term disability. Even though when he initially filled the forms out he put down for me to have off three months, our work insurance person always sends out the forms about ever six weeks for an update just in case the employee doesn't need the full time off. I'm not surprised by this, it's just a small annoyance. I visited with my mom for lunch and helped her eat. Sometimes she will eat on her own and other times she won't. They were running late because they ran out of food early. The gal that shops doesn't usually go until Wednesdays. I left there about two pm, picked up my finished computer and took it home. Then I went to pick up my friend to go with me to Planet Fitness on a short walk on the treadmills. (Brenda, my friend, happens to be the MIL of the young man that works on our computers). And, he and his wife were friends of my daughters in school. I was able to walk on the treadmill for twenty-five minutes this timed. Being off this past month with my feet elevated has caused me to get way out of shape. Since it was getting late in the day that's all we did for today and I've been home ever since.

25 minutes on the treadmill is good time, I walked a lot today because I had some errands to do and my husband was busy, so I went alone and I walked.

@MarshaMusselman I am so glad to know that your wound does not hurt so much and new skin is growing. Let's hope for the best.

@MarshaMusselman If you finally can get your knee surgery it's a good thing.

@LadyDuck that might mean I will have to return faster than planned. I just got my Dr to okay it continuing until the end of January. But I may needed to return after that. Time will tell. I won't return until it's closed up. The way it looks it may not scab which would be better because then I can contact the knee surgeon again.

That's good were able to get to the gym and get some walking in on the treadmill. What's great with them is you don't have to worry about stumbling over a rock or anything like you would if you were walking along the street. Awesome that you go though computer back and it was all taken care of for you. I bet the registering it will just be something simple you overlooked. I think mine popped up as soon as I turned it on when it was new so maybe the computer guy took care of it already for you?

He didn't register anything. If I can find a manual that may say where to go I do like holding on when walking and this way my friends can go faster if she'd rather. I've not used my cane for two weeks but it's it warms this weekend we could walk outside and it's probably have my cane just in case.

@MarshaMusselman very true on a treadmill you can do different speeds but still chat if you are by your friend. Taking the cane is probably a good idea be careful

If I could just get that much done in my house with cleaning and organizing that would be great.

I think he possibly got all my things registered or some of it was done automatically somehow. Maybe if it recognized my ip address or he did it and didn't remember.

Better than nothing, yes. I did thirty minutes today and a few other weight machines. Now, if I can only figure out how to quit eating as much of the bad stuff.
