Red passion fruit?

I found this fruit somewhere near the river, just some meters away from my house. I have known this fruit since I was a kid. We used to collect them and pretended to cook them. The fruit has a fragrant flavour and it tastes sweet too. But my friends and I never liked to eat it even though they are edible. We didn't like it's flavour. Sadly no one knows what is it's name . But from it's appearance, I looks like passion fruit. It's color is red. Inside the fruit are sacs that are filled with white-colored juice and small, crunchy seeds
Could it be red passion fruit?

I am not sure what kind of fruit it is. I think that the passion fruits I have seen look a bit different, but I am not sure.

@Fruity_ Maybe it just looks a little different. Is the taste similar to the taste of passion fruit?

@Porcospino exactly different . This fruit has only taste sweet, no sour taste. And it is also fragrant.

I didn't know about the fruit, but I also thought a little, it looked like a passion fruit
