newly diagnosed

I haven't been diagnosed myself, but my mom was about 4 yrs ago. She had the lumpectomy, then chemo and radiation. She said it wasn't as bad as she expected and she really only felt a little nauseous now and then. Mainly she has just been very tired. She did lose her hair, but I made her some wonderful turbans so she still looked stylish. They also said there could be other side effects, but she didn't have any. I hope that you were able to catch it early and that all goes well for you and you beat it.

what was your diagnosis? I have been through chemo, mastectomy, radiotherapy and still on hormone therapy, in remission for the next 2 years.

While I haven't had personal experience with this, I do have friends who have. The therapy will be according to what your doctor believes will be most effective for you, as will the length of the therapy. Her cancer is one of the more aggressive types and while all of us who are her friends worry about her she is standing strong and determined to be cancer free and live a full life.
