Everything happens for a reason or not?

We hear this expression often. "Everything happens for a reason?" my answer is maybe, whatever the truth of this matter is, the problem is we can only make that statement with hindsight. You never hear that all was prodicted before the action took place. Sure somethings are prodictable, like if we declare war, we know mayham and death will result, but do we know how many advances in science and medicine will be made? No of course not. This is just a small example. But then we must explore all of our actions, even the small ones, like brushing our hair, or
picking the cloths to wear, what would happen if I did this now or one hour from now. You can see that this would soon drive you crazy and nothing would get done.
Well, do you believe, maybe? Sometimes? Only big important things? What about timing? Lot's of thoughts here?

I have always said everything happens for a reason, but never thought about the timing of it. Like I said if I didn't move back up north I would of never ment my husband, or if my friends didnt show up one night I could of been killed in a car wreck etc.. so yes I think everything happens for a reason.

I hear people say that at times. One time my ex-wife was pregnant but lost the baby. If that happened for a reason, I would love to hear the reason?

I read somewhere, "Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is you're stupid and make bad decisions." I agree.
