Do you care more about not offending someone or about their well being?

Sometimes in helping advise someone it may be taken offensively by them. Certain people just cannot take constructive criticism even if it is meant to help them out. I try to be tactful in my comments as to not offend, and try only to offer my opinion if asked. I found this quote very interesting when it comes giving advice:
"Good advice is always certain to be ignored, but that's no reason not to give it." Agatha Christie

Doing good thing is usually not appreciated until it starts to be. Lets say you are out with your friend, in bar, having drinks and you see she is having a stain on her beautiful dress. Will you tell her that she have a stain and risk for her to be offended and say "what do you think that I never wash my clothes" while she can also respond with "well thank you I am going to bathroom to try to fix it until everyone here start thinking that I never wash my clothes". Her response can be any of it, if you say something. But if you simply don't do anything because you are afraid that she will get offended, how is that fair to your friend?

I'm scared of offending someone as I have social anxiety.

Yes! Literally anything, to direct them in good way, because even if they get mad or offended, you will feel that you have done the right thing. I like the way you see this

I always choose to be complete honest, being the most polite posible, even if it is not in your hands if the people take it bad I think at a certain moment they will understand that what you are doing is for good and because you truly care and appreciate them
