'My Christmas Story' 100 words-Hinckley Scribblers Challenge

I could not meet the 100 word challenge in English. But I tried. This is made of old memories. So, although it has more words, my Christmas Story is here. Every year we waited for Christmas eve knowing that only the arrival of our grandma would hasten it. Christmas for us was a family reunion at a time when money was scarce. My mother had made cakes to go with a wonderful tea time. My father had sanded and glued our old wooden toys and painted them with bright new colors. That Christmas I was expecting to be lucky and get a book I coveted. But the parcel with my name did not feel as if there was a book. Inside there was a shoebox transformed into a wardrobe with tiny hangers full of clothes just for my doll´s size. Each doll dress had been part of an old dress of mine. There was even a pink cardigan and a tiny knitted purse. I was a rich child!
