Today I learned an interesting bit of trivia about The Matrix. In the first movie, the license plate on Agent Smith's car reads IS 5416, which is a reference to Isiah 54:16 from the Bible.
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
Very clever, Lana and Lilly Wachowski. Very, very clever.
