Hi, friends
today I walked in my city, the city of Surabaya.
Surabaya city is a city of heroes.
because its history is accounted for in the struggle of the Indonesian people to seize the city of Surabaya from invaders.
the name of the city of Surabaya itself, originated from folklore in ancient times, which is said to be the story in ancient times there was a battle of Sura (shark) fish and baya fish (crocodile) and finally became the city of Surabaya.
historical evidence shows that the city of Surabaya existed long before the colonial era.
according to a historian Von Faber, Surabaya had existed since 1275 AD
I am proud to have the city of Surabaya.
How about you,
Does your city have history?

There is not a place in the world that does not have history. Not all is open though. One needs to search

@nawala123 I think books are not factual, but folklore is a story from generation to generation, and according to folklore there is no name that, from the first time there was the only name Surabaya

That is very interesting. I don't live in the city, but I think it was named for a family that lived in this area. The only thing I know about this area is that a major train used to pass through here, and it is not far from a few Civil War battlefields.
