I am disappointed

With great interest I sowed those flowering seeds that I was told needed just around 60 days to flower. There are well over 20 varieties and all have germinated. I have transplanted most of the seedlings but sad to say the growth is extremely slow.
I wanted my garden to have colour in readiness for that party on January 6 but all I will have is more greenery
I do not know if I should blame the seeds supplier, the climate or the soil where they are growing.
I need flowers. I have the usual but I was hoping for seasonal flowers. I am tempted to buy some plants with flowers already in bloom. Every Sunday we see them being sold in the market close by.

I cannot say they are problems but a disappointment no doubt.

If you want seasonal flowers for a certain day, the best thing is to buy them in bloom, in containers. They are more expensive but then you can wait for your own plants to grow at their pace.

@allknowing I love to garden, but Luna has made me hide all my plants in containers.

@allknowing May be, climate or soil has its own contribution.

If the quality of seeds was poor they would not have germinated. I have had that bad experience sometime ago. It could be climate

I have seen the growth pattern of these flowers and by the look of it I doubt if they will be ready by then.

You will learn the technic on how to plant a nice plant.
For the seed problem, you may need to check before you buy from your supplier.

Thanks for the advice I will take it even though gardening is my passion and have been in it for years now. I also had business designing and executing landscaped gardens. My concern was about the delay as I also believed they take about 60 days but this time they are taking much too long.

@Acefun This time I am not sure what advice this is. These flowers aught to grow in my garden before I have that party. Obviously you have not read my discussion

try to talk to your customers and offers some compensations such as discounts or coupon for next services, etc.
Hope they will understand about your situation.

The season or soil can be the reason. I hope you`ll find some good seeds

I feel it is the climate as the soil is good as we have our own compost and seeds germinated well.

just buy the grown ones that will bloom in January.
but you know I have seen somewhere I forgot that another way of planting the seeds is through toilet paper... so that when you transfer or transplant it will not be problem. I have never tried that though

@allknowing just buy a grown ones if you needed to have them in January, than to stress yourself. if they make it in January then that's better you have more flowers.

Next Sunday I shall visit the shandy and make a choice. Probably I will go for Mums as they are in season here and they will stay for a longer period.

They are supposed to yield within their respective time. Radish for example should be ready in 45 days and so on.

@allknowing Plants are like people in that respect. What they are SUPPOSED to do and what they do are two totally different things.
