Job position is not parallel to personal attitude

I have observed that sometimes, as people gets promoted and attain a high position, his attitude instead of levelling up too, goes downward. I have observed during the seminar a school head who was talking with her subordinate. She just tell everything she wants to tell without thinking if what she tell hurts or not. We were just listening to her and her subordinate just keeps quiet while she was doing all the talking. When she left, her subordinate told us that her school head just wants to be always treated like a queen and no one should oppose her or else she will keep on arguing with that person who is opposing her. She has a close mind and does not accept her own faults. .

I think it happens to most of us, especially with friends. I have a friend who was promoted from being a secretary, she was promoted as a Manager. We've known her as very sweet and kind, and she got the position, everything changes. From her appearance to her attitude. She was not the sweet and the kind woman we once knew. I remember hearing this from her, if you can't get along with my strict policy then go home and find another job, for sure a lot of people will take your place.

I have noticed that one too and it also happened with me. I was too frustrated and down for so many days thinking of how fast people can change.

@annierose If you work hard to get where you are, we should at least keep our feet on the ground.

@JustBhem I agree. It is a nice thing being humble no matter where we are in life.

People should stand and confront those arrogant and narrow minded people. If nobody does, they think to be gods.

It takes a brave spirit to confront these kinds of people.

Some people are like that when they get to a high position in an organisation. It is a shame as they then become very close-minded.
