I sometimes end with a stiff back after long drive. Any tips on how to avoid it? Some things I've seen are:
1. Keep a good posture.
2. Make sure your neck is kept comfortable and neutral to avoid back strain
3. Soft seats are not good.
4. If you sleep, use a neck pillow
5. Take a break, stretch and stand for a while.
What else do you recommend?

Buy a lumber support back rest which ably supports the contour of your back. I have it but I let my wife who sits on the passenger side seat use it and she feels comfortable using it.

@pitstop I was able to buy the sturdy one and my wife is comfortable with it. I hope you can find a sturdy one too.
