Do the holidays make you happy or not?

Yes, they do, especially Christmas, but I love Thanksgiving and Easter too.

Holiday make me sad, well Christmas does as it was runied for me as a kid and it had always stuck with me. I'm sorry that it makes you feel lonely.

holidays like the Yuletide season make me happy. but holidays on November 1 make me sad because i remember my departed parents

I do not celebrate any of the holidays and so to me it is just another day like all the other days. I have enough interests to keep me happy. I can always find something to do whether I'm at home or out. My happiness does not come from outside but from inside. As long as I have things to read, I'm fine!

I usually enjoy the holidays. The only exception was the year when my ex broke up with me on the 1st of December. That year I hated everything related to Christmas because it reminded me of the time we had spent together.

Holidays do make me happy since I focus on happy things and not so much other things. =) This holiday is about Jesus being born and the amazing gift He is!

In the end of December stores are full of people and i am waiting on line. People buy so much stuff and i don't like to stay on line half hour.

Since I studied the Bible with Jehovahs witnesses, I understood that the holidays are not Christian - the celebration of december 25th comes from pagan holidays - Saturnalia and midwinter festivals here in northern countries. Most so called holidays are a way for business people to earn money. Many of my friends don't celebrate Christmas or Easter or other common holidays either. As the Bible says, the truth will make you free We are free to give gifts when we want and can afford it.. Of course, holidays and parties really make me so happy. I am always excited for parties, just as now I am excited for our office Christmas party tonight.

lonely or not, I've always loved the holidays. if anything they make me feel a little less lonely because i am surrounded by family. we may not always get along but i know we're there for each other. and to me there is a sense of community around the holidays (for any holiday really), seeing people decorate their houses and gather with neighbors and friends. whether you are alone or not this holiday, I hope you have a good, safe time :)

Why don't you get yourself busy with helping others in preparing Xmas day ( your family/friends/ or charity activities) Holidays make me very happy because in this occasion I will meet and spend my time with my loved ones at hometown !
