Chicken Pizza

Probably not what you think. My wife makes this dish where she pounds a chicken breast quite flat and then tops it with pizza sauce, mozzarella and other cheeses, and pizza toppings such as pepperoni, bacon, green peppers, etc. This dish is a favorite of our youngest son and she has made it tonight at his request since he is home for the holidays. Is this a dish you think you would enjoy?

Yes, I would surely like this sort of "chicken cacciatore", it's not a pizza, but the toppings is pizza style. I would not add bacon and pepperoni, but mozzarella, tomato sauce and green peppers are surely good.

You are correct. The dish is not a true pizza. But we Americans don't know how to spell cacciatore.

It is very much like chicken Parmesan but without the breading and with the added extra's.

That sounds good, and it would fit my low carb diet :) I used to make a pizza crust out of ground chicken, parmesan cheese and an egg. This sounds better though!

Glad you clarified since I was thinking it was just a regular pizza with some chicken on it. But you know what? This sounds AWESOME! And I am thinking now I am actually going to make this VERY soon. Maybe even this weekend. This is an awesome idea. I cannot imagine it would not taste good and it is very different and unique to boot. Never heard of this. But again, awesome. I love the idea of it. I am sure my wife will go crazy over it too.
