Finally Had To Get Another Car

This has been the worst two weeks for me, I was having so much trouble with my jeep that it wasn't funny. I would go out to crank it, and it would start. I would use the battery charger, then it would start. I'm thinking it's the battery. Had it checked that wasn't it. Then I had starter checked, got a brand new starter that wasn't it. I missed days of work. I saw a jeep for sale near Sada house so I bought it. Now my older jeep starts everyday. The mechanic found loose wires under the hood. Getting stuck in your own front yard is no joke. Now maybe I can mylot again.

Well at least you got that resolved. I am so glad I bought a car this summer because that old car was giving me fits..It had a bad electrical system, the gas gauge was stuck..and the battery was doing weird things as well..it just had issues.

@popciclecold -- they say "car trouble" is redundant, because if you have a car you will have trouble.

Me too, when you live in the woods you need a back up car.

@andriaperry It's worse when you live in the woods, no traffic.

Yes, very painful. I thought I'd never see the light of day.

@LadyDuck I do too Anna, that was the worst experienced, and Sada knew I was having car trouble she would still call to see if I am coming.

That's why I like to lease and have a newer car. I don't want to deal with maintaining an older one and dealing with problems. That being said, we also have an almost 10 year old Toyota SUV and it has been a champ. We haven't done anything to it but routine maintenance and replaced the tires. No issues at all!

@popciclecold
That is how it is. So, are you keeping both? How is the new one working?

When you drive an older car it always helps to have a spare. Right now we do not. I am holding my breath.

Yes automobiles are prone to starting problems, that is why regular maintenance is must.

Loose wires can drive you nuts to find. I have had to look for them before.

Yeah, my son said the mechanic after putting the starter on, and cranked it up, and it still wouldn't crank, got out cussing. He was frustrated.

I guess I have to buy a new car, too. My old car needs to retire according to my mechanic.

Car troubles are never a fun time, that's for sure. We just had to replace the battery in my wife's car after playing around with that for about a week or two. It would hold a charge mostly after a jump, then it just stopped holding the charge. Luckily in our case it was only the battery.
