My Christmas List

When I saw this saying I began to think about Christmas and realized that there really was nothing that I wanted that I did not already have. I began adding up all of the things I have in my life and came to the conclusion that there is nothing more that I could wish for.
I have the love of my family
My friends that I see all the time and love.
My friends here on myLot that give me much pleasure.
A roof over my head, food to eat, and a warm bed.
I have a little bit of money that helps me pay my bills.
I have a good brain, for the most part.
I have my faith that helps carry me through rough days.
With all of those things who could ask for more?
What about you? What is on your Christmas list?

I couldn't ask for more than to see my parents happy, my brothers and sisters in harmony. And thanking God for my life.

That is so very true.
Such a good thought to have during this time of the year.
I give thanks each and every day for all that I have, because I do not want for anything that can be bought.
Good health, and continued good health and happiness for myself and my family is all that is on my list.
And for my friends here, I am thankful for, their support and their laughs over the course of the year. Always here, regardless of the hour. Continued strength and best wishes for all of my dear myLot friends.

Very well said Susan, and I couldn't agree more. The only ting on my Christmas list--and it's the same thing I ask for every year--is that my kids join me for our week long vacation to Disney World. It's been our tradition since my daughter was born 19 years ago. My daughter is a young woman now, and my son a teenager, so my biggest fear is that one of these years they tell me they don't want to continue our family tradition. I'm pretty sure I won't have to worry about it for many years to come, because I really instilled in them the importance of quality time together as a family, but you know that sometimes life gets in the way of things. Pretty soon my daughter will start a family of her own, and my son will probably go away to college somewhere, so all I can do is hope that we can pull together a nice family Christmas vacation for as long as possible.

It is sad and nice at the same time to watch your children grow up. Mine still try to get together as a family for the traditional but it does become harder and harder as their own family and careers grow. his year I had to be settle for Thanksgiving as a family thing, I am grateful they still want to try to be together. We are all in different states with different types of jobs. It gets to the point where were are happy to be able to all be together once a year. It is sad but you do start to get used to it, sort of. Have a wonderful Christmas with you children and a fabulous New Year.
