Do you like Persimmons?

I love them, at least the sort we get here.. I hope we will get some at a good price soon. It would be great if we could grow them here but our climate is not good for growing persimmons. We can be happy if we have some apples and berries her, as they give a lot of antioxidants too.. What are your favorite fruits and berries?

As far as I know, kaki is a species of persimmon and just another name for the fruit.

@owlwings No they are different, the kaki is soft and you cannot peel it and cut as an apple. The kaki is a lot sweeter and has a most distinctive taste. I think I posted a photo in October.

I also love persimmons, especially the ones you mention. It takes a lot of patience waiting for them to ripen properly but well worth the wait. I just ate two of the ones that one can eat like an apple.

I am not sure where they grow, perhaps you have plenty of other fruits where you live? Peaches?

In fact it is a kind of common fruit here in autumn and winter. It is fine for me because it is very sweet.

I have really wanted to try persimmons. To the best of my knowledge I have never tried them. I should look to see if I can find some persimmon jelly or something on Amazon. They do grow them on a limited basis in this area. FYI I just looked you can find it on ETSY for 7,00.

I like persimmons but I don't eat them very often. Sometimes I see them as decoration on desserts. I like many different fruits for instance cherries, strawberries and rashberries.
