I know it won't be happening until 2+ years but it is always at the back of my mind. I have the budget planned but it is for our monthly expenses only, the rest I put for my retirement because I have extreme work anxiety it is affecting my health. If she opted to study here in our place, we can cover for her expenses. But she wants to study in our country capital, Manila. The cost of living there is expensive and the tuition is pretty high as well. I cannot handle this on top of our regular expenses. I hope our get pass this and get to enjoy life more. The price of everything has gone up and people are suffering. I'm grateful I have a job, but it is affecting my health. I'm just hoping the work situation will be better. I can venture on online job but there is no certainty and I cannot afford that because we have yet to send our daughter to a good college education.

I worked my way through college. Took what I could afford to take. Nothing wrong with working while you are going to college.

@jobelbojel Ha ha ha. The Ivy League? I wish she would just go hear in a local university and look for a job in Manila after she graduates.

I can understand your situation as most of us face such situation one or other time in ur lives! If your daughter is good in her studies she can earn scholarship from the college in the Capital City Manila , No? How old is she? Can she take up some part time job as many students they do to maintain themselves?

Those are really good ideas I'm trying to share to her. But she is more interested in playing Mobile Legend. This gets me confused. She's 15 by the way.

I agree with you that everything is more expensive now a days. Take care of yourself, your daughter will be needing you more.

Well, it will be tough and I can understand it as a parent. But I am sure you will be able to mange it. How about going on a tight budget from now and making a saving kit for her education in future. I have made one. Little savings accumulate to a big one in future.

I remember my wife being so worried about our oldest son when he went off to college. By the time our youngest son left, she wasn't nearly as anxious.
