How I spent my birthday yesterday

Yesterday (Dec. 24th) was my birthday. Instead of having breakfast at home I went out to eat. I had a crepe with bananas, caramel and powdered sugar and a small cappuccino. Everything was delicious. Then I went to see Second Act starring Jennifer Lopez at a nearby movie theater. I really enjoyed the movie, though there were moments during the movie I sorta missed because some people in the theater were being disruptive. Afterwards, I met up with my husband and we went to Manhattan to a French restaurant (Le Pif) for my birthday dinner. The food and the wine were really good, as was the dessert. Some of the things that I was looking forward to eating ended up having pork in it. My husband and I don't eat pork, so we had to settle for other dishes instead. They were also good and we enjoyed them, but I was a bit bummed because I did not get to eat what I came there for. After the dinner, we we went to an opera - The Magic Flute. It was the abridged version, so it lasted under two hours. It was my husband's first time at the opera here. He was fighting sleep through half of it. But he survived. I bet he will not want to go to an opera again. I was not really fighting sleep but there were times when I couldn't stop yawning. Wondering if that was because of the opera or the dinner we had prior to it. It was a really fun day for me! I want to do this more often! Today, I am going out for sushi with my parents and in-laws to celebrate my birthday, so the fun continues.
