I am from India.
In our country, we spend a lot on wedding as it is a question of reputation for us. Everything like food, decorations, outfit, etc. are expensive. We are proud of it.
Another thing which is normal in our country is that we eat with our hands.
Is it normal in your country too. Or is it weird?
Let me know what things are normal in your country but is weird in the rest of the world

I'm from Indis as well and I'm really happy to be one. Although I don't like spending a lot on the big fat Indain weddings

Although it is something very subjective, I can agree with you to some extent as it pressurizes the not-so-fortunate people to also spend a lot of money on their weddings.

@boneysharaon yes...and the money spent has no relevance. It is just wastage for a few hours of celebration

Eating with bare hands is normal specially if you are eating crabs or other sea foods.

Because it is normal for us. But for westerners it is weird.
