you are dependent of internet?

I am VERY dependent on the internet. I need it to research things for college, for work, to talk to my friends out of state or out of the country. Everyday I check my email, myspace, accounts, everything on those terrible days when the modem is out or the cable is out (I have a cable modem) I am almost frantic :(

A lot of people are dependent on it, whether they want to be or not. If you want to make airline reservations or find out information about a company or product, they want you to use their Web site. I've been looking for a job and many employers will only accept applications through email or a form on their Web sites. If the Internet connection goes down, it's a lot harder to do things.
