Today I learned that in Switzerland, it's illegal to keep just one guinea pig. If you want to keep a guinea pig, you are legally obligated to adopt a second one. This is a strange law, to be sure, but one I am personally in favor of, as guinea pigs are highly social creatures by nature and tend to get lonely if kept alone. In fact, it's common to keep peegs as pairs or groups even outside of Switzerland.
What did you learn today?

That's really cool!!
It's only a couple minutes past midnight. So far i've learned that law and also that you can hear the living room TV just as loud in my room as in the living room.

@PeachieMew it's like a tunnel down the hallway from the TV to the bedroom. Very weird because the rest of the house you can't hear someone calling you from the next room over!

A friend of ours has just bought two guinea pigs as Christmas gifts for their children (aged 16 and 12). They were advised by the store who said just what you have said here.
