Will you pending the company HR when the inform you that they are accepting you for the position that applied in order to compare the salary package offer by other company that will be contacting you soon?
This is because the assessment timing of different companies are different. So, you can select the one that you are satisfy with.
What is the polite method to handle this situation.

It is normal for HR not replying applicants who are not successful in the selection process. But I will contact HR to ask for the status. Sometimes it might be slow due to the relevant department head have not make any decision. So we as an applicants need to wait patiently.

For me, i would usually choose the company hired me first. I don't look into the offer but the possibility that i can have work the soonest.

You can do some research to find out how much they will pay you. Then you can accept the one that offers bigger salary.

If I were you, I would accept the company that contacted you recently, and keep in touch with the other one that's processing and pending on contacting you. One never knows, what if the other that you are awaiting on does not give you a call and you miss the one that already is interested in you. Life is always a little complicated ugh! :(

@Acefun Yes, I know it sounds mean or selfish, but remember you go first then comes the company that hires you, because when they're gonna kick you out of the office, they don't even care about your feelings and needings. So you gotta think wiser. That is what I would do If I were you.

It gives a bad impression in the resume and the company will not consider the job applicants of the same person in the future.
Worse thing will be if those HR or your superior has some close connection with other company, then they spread over the attitude of the person.

That is very natural. Like the HR is doing business for the recruiting company, we are also interested in our own benefit. If it is possible to wait for us then I see there is nothing wrong to wait for both companies salaries known and join the company with maximum benefits.

Yes it is a very tricky situation to handle. I think you should follow your heart.

If they headhunted you, they would be keen to wait for your reply. You have to take care of your interest first.
