Anticipated Mass for the New Year

My husband and I just arrived home from an Anticipated Mass at 8 p.m. tonight. It was called such because the Homily or Bible reading is the same for the New Year's Mass tomorrow.
Am happy we attended it, because maybe we could not wake up so early as we would be up till 12 midnight or past midnight to welcome the new year. But I was so sleepy all throughout the Mass. I really wanted to attend the morning mass instead of the Anticipated Mass.
What preparations are you doing to welcome the new year?

we had our media noche, just 3 of us. we did not go to mass too because it was raining hrad this morning

It is also raining here, almost everyday, even last night so many people do not have fireworks, unlike in the past years. Or maybe because prices had gone up!
