New Year's Resolution's?

We are 3 1/2 hours into the New Year. 2019 is officially here. I have already seen TONS of "This year I'm going to work out more", "This year I'm definitely going to go to the gym more" etc. etc.
I actually never make any New Year's Resolution's. Do not get me wrong every year I have some kind of goal I would like to achieve or reach, but I NEVER actually call it a resolution.
Why?
I believe in a lot of things and look at things differently than most anyway but there is just something about a New Year Resolution that sits weird with me. Sure, having a goal is great and putting a timeline on that goal (like a year goal as your making it a resolution of that year) is even better. For me though I don't like to put that kind of commitment so to speak out there. If I don't reach it I spend more time upset with myself, than actually continuing to work towards my goal.
I am going to work for what I want in life. I'm going to continue to work towards my goals and dreams. I'm going to work hard and practice as much as I can to get to where I want to go. Rather it be 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and so on. Some goals and dreams take longer to achieve than others and by not setting a date I realize it may take longer to get to where I want to be. Sure a goal may make me work harder at it but then you add the stress to go along with it, then you might rush through parts or steps to get there so it's not fully your BEST, etc.
Nothing against those that make those resolutions because for some people they work great and they accomplish them and I'm genuinely happy for them when they do. Sadly though, this system just does not work well with me. I have my own way and I'm learning that it is better this way and it fits into mt super busy everyday life!
Did you make any New Year's Resolution's for 2019?
What is your view on New Year Resolution's?
What are your goals for the coming year?
Or are you like me and you just push towards what you want to achieve without placing a timeline on the progress?
Have A Very Happy New Year Everyone!!
Stay safe

Setting goals is stressful for me. So I take it one day at a time.

I completely agree with you. Goals and lists etc are very stressful! Specially if you have gotten to everything etc. Plus you never know what each day bring!

My daily resolution is to lose weight. That runs 365 days a year...every year! There's nothing wrong with making New Year's resolutions. If they work for the person, then they're great! My goals for the coming year are to lose weight and find an online site where I can write reviews. Have a good year!
