Apple AND cake

Happy Tuesday morning to all from this side of the world. It is cold that some of the new year's food are not kept in the fridge so since I was the first to be up, I just took out one of the cake rolls from its box, sliced an inch thick, and ate it for breakfast.
I did myself a cup of hot coffee with cereals while listening to the TV movie Venom.
Now, I sliced an apple and am eating half of the fruit. We are only 3 at home so we must eat what are on the dining table; it is not really nice to throw away food to the garbage bin specially if we have the capability to eat them but as long as these are not yet rotten or stale.
What fruits do you eat for breakfast?

@ridingbet Wow, you have your own grapevine. I wonder why it is sour?

@SIMPLYD i wonder too. it was the first time our grapevine bore many berries/fruits. the grapes at the backyard were sweeter

grapes are costly but some grapes look good but taste sour. our grapes, the one i plucked from our grapevine, are ripe yet sour.

that is good. we don't too, ever since. when my son has some leftover in his plate and as long as they are untouched (just excess), and i am not yet full, i get it and eat with rice.

@ridingbet I put in the freezer leftover meats to be used later. I never have leftovers of pasta, I only cook what I need to serve.

Sounds good. Lots of leftovers this time of year. I often have berries for breakfast. Also bananas and oranges are a breakfast favorite for me.

you also have leftovers? we are eating the leftovers little by little when they are still 'edible'; otherwise, we say sorry to God if we throw the stale food already.
food is a grace from God, so if we waste them, it is like we do not acknowledge the graces that God gives us.

@ridingbet I try not to waste food. There are just too many people out there who are hungry.

@Happy2BeMe i agree with you. that is why i only get food from a buffet when there are parties, just enough to fill my stomach. i don't leave extra/excess food on my plate.

The only fruit I ate was Banana, we didn't buy any of those round fruits. Though some one gave mom some Suha, that was it.

fresh pineapple is good for breakfast, even with just the juice extracted from the fruit. we have leftovers of salad (macaroni and fruit), the cake rolls, and the ice cream is already consumed by my sister and my son after our lunch today.
