I Made It a Day

I made it a day into this year before I started listening to musicals...
I think I have a problem.
Nah.
I just know when I feeling slumped and not wanting to work I turn on a musical radio on Pandora and I feel so much better.
I don't know what it is. Maybe it is the lyrics, or the melodies. Perhaps I just love singing and well they are musicals so they are meant for singing. Except for Guns and Ships in Hamilton. If anyone can spit out Lafayette's lyrics as fast as Daveed Diggs, I want to marry them.
But here I am, getting ready to start working. Hopefully Mturk actually has something, I get yesterday was a holiday but come on, I want to work!
I also want to get a crack down on this drawing I am working on. It was supposed to be for New Years, but as long as I get it done before the 8th, it still counts as New Years, right? Right?!
I really need to prepare pictures before the holiday actually happens. But it wouldn't be me if I didn't wait until last minute!
Well anyway, listen to some good music today and sing like no one is listening. Trust me, it will make you feel great!

I always have relaxing music playing in the background. I don't listen to music with lyrics very often anymore, but when I do it's usually when I'm on a walk.

It is rare I listen to music with no lyrics. I need lyrics, I just need voices constantly for some reason.

@DesirousDreamer I get distracted by voices. I do like lyrics though and will listen to them on occasion. Usually when I am happy or sad and want to sort of vent it out, ya know?
Like right now, I am listening to the sounds of a forest as I type this. It helps me stay focused and concentrate on what I need to do online.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I listen to ambient sounds when I need to sleep, I love white noise. But voices are something for some reason always help me. I have tried working in silence and I noticed I picked up my phone more. Maybe that is something I picked up in school, being around 30-40 kids in a classroom, they are so loud but I still got my work done. It could also be a weird mental thing, I don't know. It is interesting how everyone works differently!

I miss Pandora. We can't get it here in Canada... at least the last time I tried we couldn't. We do have Spotify though!! It's nice to have a little background music playing while I'm working!!

That is a shame. I am not a fan of Spotify, but it is a good alternative.
