Weird Word Wednesday- Chionophobia

This is a new word to me. I think it's a timely weird word, considering that it's winter in my country (the US) and in many other parts of the world too. Chioni means snow in Greek. I've included a link below that gives a detailed explanation of Chionophobia. I am not afraid of snow, but the only thing I like about it is its beauty. I dislike the coldness that comes with it! Brrrr!! Have you heard of this word? Do you know anyone who has suffered from Chionophobia?

Oh I hope not! I suppose you don't see much snow out there in L. A., do ya? Thanks for your comment @JohnRoberts.

Thank you @responsiveme. Snow is kind of magical to me too, even though I've seen it many times.

It can be incredibly beautiful or incredibly frightening. I went for a walk last year in Manitoba and the temps were -39c... just wanted to see how it would feel. Luckily I didn't have this phobia because I made sure that everyone knew what I was doing and how long it would take me to get to the road and back! Glad I did it ;)

@BloggerDi I didn't know at the time that we would be moving and I would never have gotten the opportunity again... so I'm glad I did it too. It was bloody cold ;)

Thanks @Hate2Iron. I think what you did was very cool (pun intended)! If a person is curious about something, it's great to find out through experience if possible. You were wise in how you went about it.

I have a couple of friends like you @Dena91. I wish winter wasn't hard on me. When I get very cold, I have so much trouble warming up and it feels miserable. I try not to be a crybaby though.
