Still mushy with Auld Lang Syne

Once, when the children were small, I would sit on the piano during the last hours of the year and play one of the few pieces I know - Auld Lang Syne. I self-studied the song in my youth, because I loved the tune and the lyrics with my heart. Oh, my elder sister is a pianist but she wouldn't sing at the top of her lungs on New Year's Eve. I would. As the children grew up with a seemingly innate love for music, and could play sonatas and concertos on the piano, I was shoved off the piano stool. Sigh, New Year's Eve is the only time I sit and play and sing. But am not complaining. The children made it family tradition to sing and play. Sadly, life's paths has led members to another land. Fortunately, technology has kept us close with music. Sharing with you our tradition.

my sister was alone at home during this day. She still celebrated new year with the dogs and cats. LOL
