@responsiveme Even a dress that you like could not look good on you. I like to try and to touch the material.

I wrote my response and then read yours. Like you I too prefer clothes shopping in stores where I can actually try out the size and feel the material

Yes, I sent something back last night. Fortunately I didn't have to pay return postage. I also found the perfect replacement at my local dress shop.

I do shop online but it just happens rarely. I still prefer shopping seeing the physical product on my hand.

@Jeanniemaries But if I am too busy to go to the store, then, I just shop online. I just avoid shopping for electronics.

@annierose I live close to an Apple store so I usually buy directly from the store. They are so darned nice to everyone!

I prefer shopping in stores , although I do buy certain things other than clothing online.
I love the attention, pretty fitting rooms, feeling the fabrics, looking at the quality, trying things on for correct fit, and seeing colors in their true form. Colors online are never precise enough for me. I also like the perks that my favorite shops offer such as bottled water, champagne, and cocktails.

And samples! You can make better decisions on what new item you want to try at home if you have an idea of how it tastes.

How about replacing items you know you like and already use. Isn't it easier to order you favorite cleaning products in one online purchase and not have to drive to the store and wait in line?

@banksim That's good. I seem to always choose the wrong line. It looks the shortest but then there is an issue and boom everything shuts down while a manager is called.

@Jeanniemaries may be but in my area, there is not so much waiting for line

That's a good question. I guess it really depends on what I am buying. I am open to either though

I've decided that absolutely I will replace items online, sometimes for more because I know the quality and I don't have to get out and fight the crowds and wait in line. Paying a bit more isn't usually much more than the gas it costs to drive across town,

@Jeanniemaries That makes a lot of sense when you add in cost of gas, and the price it costs emotionally and physically of fighting crowds and waiting in lines.

@MommyOfEli2013 It's good though when you run into people you haven't seen in awhile or just grabbing coffee out.

Clothing I like to try on, but I did order a winter hat online that I'm hoping will look good on me. I just want to be warm!

So true! There is nothing like choosing what you like best. But I do replace items I know I like from online stores without a qualm because it's so much easier!

I have actually purchased shoes, slippers and clothing that fit beautifully but it's because I shop their stores and know their sizing.

I like store shopping for things like clothes and shoes but not when there is a heavy rush

I have found often that Amazon carries the same things as discount stores and the stores have it for less. It should never be that way because stores have overhead.
