My 6 year old niece is wanting Bratz for Chistmas. To me they are way to grown up for kids with the way they dress. What do you think?

I thin Bratz dolls are just like barbies...except they have a bigger head, eyes, and lips! My nieces are 8,6,5...and they love them....They like the dolls...so might as well get the kids something they like!

Once I start having children, my daughters will not have anything Bratz and they will not enter my house. I think they give out the wrong message about how girls should dress and wear their make-up.

Well what does her mom have to say about it? I don't allow my 7 1/2 & soon to be 6 y/o daughters to play with anything Bratz. I also would not purchase anything Bratz for a little girl. It just goes beyond what I think it appropriate for little ones.

A little girl wanting a dollie=good, pure, natural. A little girl wanting a Bratz Doll=a successful marketing campaign I feel your pain, my niece wants one too! But I totally agree with you, the dress is totally inappropriate and will only reinforce to little girls that they must dress provacitavely. Just the name is offensive. Now some might say, "hey, it's just a doll...what's the big deal?" But it is a big deal when inappropriateness is marketed to out children. What would happen if parents would all buy the most wholesome doll? The Bratz people A. Lose money, and B. Have to rethink their marketing strategy. "Wholesomeness sells?" Anyway, my response is a bit rambling, but I agree with you.

I think Bratz dolls are really scary!!!! Their eyes pop out in a weird way and freak me out. I'm 20 by the way, haha.

Well, I wouldn't have such a problem with them if their darn feet would stay on..lol I hate that. My daughter cannot keep up with the feet which are also their shoes. They do dress a little provocative, but no worse than Barbie with her perfect hips and boobies. I got my daughter the baby Bratz doll this year. It's feet are attached I hope. She also loves all of the stuff to decorate her room, but that will change again next year I am sure. The joy of little girls.

My daughter was six when she got her first bratz doll. (she's eight now) and I don't see anything wrong with them. I don't see any difference between these dolls and the regular barbies. They change the clothes on them so often, that it really dose'nt make a whole lot of difference how they originally come.

I have always thought the same thing, actually I think they are ugly!!! LOL!!!! My daughter loves them and I did buy her some though. It's a personal decision. I would NEVER let her dress like that though.

Bratz - dolls
Well actually my little girl is 3 and she wants one pretty bad, don't know if we are going to get her one, but we are thinking about it. I figure most dolls anymore they dress them like that so really there isn't no difference unless I don't let her play with baby dolls.
