Hooray for Hump Day! Let's celebrate with some great music! Well, music that's great to me, anyway. Stealing from John Roberts' recent countdown of favorite songs with "time" in the title, I'm looking at my top ten favorites in rock and country that fit that requirement. Here's today's rock song. #6: Take Your Time - Jefferson Starship Yeah, I used this in the "Take That!" countdown. And if I do a your/you're countdown, guess what!! I'm not what you'd call a "big" Jefferson Airplane/Starship fan by any stretch of the imagination. And, personally, after "Miracles" became a big hit in 1975, I didn't know if I wanted to be one! But 1978's Earth hit a chord with me (D7, if you're wondering ). I love that album from start to finish. And this is one of my favorite songs from the album, with Grace Slick singing her heart out. It's funny how music does that to a person....a band you never paid too much attention to puts an album out and suddenly, POW. Take Your Time Written by Grace Slick and Pete Sears Recorded by Jefferson Starship From Earth, 1978 I'm gonna get two days for the price of one:
jefferson starship - take your time (1978)

This was an "album cut." The "big hit" from this album was "Count on Me."
