I never realized this. But makes sense
lot of people do survey on line.Buying online ,banking business etc
You got the picture. It is us giving them the information in scamming.
Yes us.They know all about us.All the warranty card for you to fill out.
Some of the question they asked. How much money you make etc.
It is us given them the information; This is one of the reason many get scammed.
Think twice or maybe it is too late.About survey, filling out warrantee cards.etc.
It is too late now.Just have to careful and safe. They got you.

I have been doing surveys for years and yes, they know a lot about a person but who do they really know. They don't have my address as everything goes through an email, pymts go to Paypal and I never leave a phone number. Now warrantys and such are different, they do get that info. In these days and times you have to be one step ahead of the scammers and learn to read them first. One does need to be careful though

@amadeo It amazes me at how many different ways they try and scam people these days, one has to be really careful and the elderly seem to be the top of their lists. Those people make me sick, it is why I keep an air horn on my desk, scammers who call me get to hear it when I blow it into their ears!!

I try my best not to give out too much personal information especially my income. I also think those ancestry kits are a way to have a person's DNA on file

The more info we reveal about ourselves anywhere online including myLot leaves us open to profiling.

Clearly, we are all aware that we are used by big cooperation, companies and governments to be a consumer. People who work every single day to buy more stuff and services coming from cooperation and they know how to stimulate people toward consumerism which makes us obedient workers and slaves to buy more stuff. what is the way out of this? this is what we need to know

Yup, doing survey or sometimes when you are being asked some many questions related to personal details, then you should be much careful on what they are intend to do and how they handle your data.
Data can be sold to third party for profit and even they promise they will used it just for this assignment but you whether they will store it safely to prevent being hacked is another problem.
Normally, i will twist my response just to protect myself.

Some of what it seems like 'they' know is guess work as many people are in the same boat. Otherwise, they'd be right about more of it all the time.
I know a lot of companies will sell the info they get from people, but they aren't allowed to sell private information. Paper warranties are probably better as I'm sure no one is inputting that into their computer systems, or then again, maybe someone is. But, probably it's in a regular file cabinet.
