Reasusable bags at the supermarket: the tip of a iceberg.

Good morning, dear lotters.
I have to do today to buy some things to serve at tea time for María and Claudia. I woke up trying to remember that I must take reusable bags to the supermarket. If I don´t, I can either bring my things in my hands or they will sell me a reusable bag they have there.
As I see it, it is another way the supermarkets are earning money. Because I ask myself what are they doing to help with the banning of plastics.
They could only sell sodas in glass bottles. Here, sodas are sold in recyclable glass bottles too.
There are lots of products that can be made with glass. In fact, many things are done with plastic or glass. I can think of formula bottles or yogurt containers. And although glass is more expensive, it might not be so if it is reused.
What are your thought about this, friends?

That is true. If plastic bags are banned then why are they still sold? Another way of profit for markets and savings as they don't provide them anymore.

There should be alternative materials for many things. I had wooden toys in my childhood. And although some plastic toys cannot be replaced with wooden ones, children could be taught to use some. Plastic dishes and cups are not as nice as glass and other materials. We should just learn to take care of what we have so it lasts more. And just ban some things from being sold.

@marguicha Exactly. When I was growing up, it was paper bags and glass containers.

@JohnRoberts Yes. And children should be taught to be more careful with glass. We were.

It seems the more we go forward it gets worse on this matter specially with all global warming problem and huge wastage around the world. we need to take responsibility and be serious on recycling. governments must perform a program for collecting and recycling materials. I believe with busy life style of these days glasses won't work any more, we need more efficient methods according current life style.
