I think that is actually a great idea, I am leaning towards it as well , it's better then being grumpy and never having anyone come over

@Irishlasskicker that happened to me. so i am just being humble now. and accepting towards positive people. i do show discomfort towards bad people from my posture and physical movements but for good people i have developed tolerance and smile on face.

Just because they show up doesn't mean you have to open the door. If they complain that you're being rude, oh well. It's even ruder to call up and announce you're dropping in without giving the person the chance to respond. Next time they can wait for an invitation.

lol well you are right there you could do that but I don't think I have it in me to not answer the door.. The only time I don't answer the door is when it's sales people or some religious thing lol

I don't mind if they are in my "inner circle" so to speak. People close enough that they would be receptive to being told that it is not a good time. My kiddo however freaks out, she needs to know in advance. We had a wreath on the door that said "Welcome" and even that was too much for her because people might think ANYONE was welcome!

Yeah it's a take it or leave it kind of thing for people , I guess for me really I have to be in the mood for company in general :) now if it was my fave cousin or something or best pal in the whole world and they just showed up that would probably be fine
