Unusual pets: Have you ever had any or know someone who has?

As far as I know, the most popular pets in the world are dogs, cats and birds. But pigs and fish are also considered as pets in many places.
What can you tell me about it? I think the "strangest / curious" pets I've ever seen were snakes and spiders (I know they are popular animals, but not to be reared in the house ).

I have family who have had snakes. May get my son a pet fish when he is mature enough to take care of it.

I kept and bred tropical fish for many years. My wife has kept and bred guinea pigs. We know people who have snakes and other reptiles and some who keep horses

An ex boyfriend had a snake. The kids loved getting it out. I have also had mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, and a rat. I still have horses, goats, chickens, ducks guinea fowl and of course cats and dogs.

I had a hamster that I did not want and it was albino and ate its babies. I am more of a cat and dog person and dolphin too.So, have you had strange pets?

The weirdest pet we had was a pot belly pig. Now it isn't considered a weird pet now but back when I was 8 or 9 it was still considered weird. That are seen as cool now because of social media and mirco pigs which still get a pretty decent size by the way. His name was Gordy and my sister and I loved him. They are just like dogs and cats but a lot cleaner than some I have met. You can litter train them like cats. Gordy lived in our laundry room at night and bad weather and during the day we would let him roam the house and in our fenced in back yard. He loved to open the cabinets and push the stuff out and hide so my sister and I could find him. He was fun.
We also had several horses.l for pretty much my entire life so far.

@WiseGhots I do. I've always have them growing up and been around a lot of different ones.

I knew someone who had an iguana. That seemed odd to me, although it's really not uncommon.
Recently I watched a video about a family who raised their daughter with a huge Boa Constrictor.
