Got my first workout done

I should have started last week, but I finally did today. It was a short 30 minute cardio session. I chose Zumba (dancing). I'd like to do some strength training eventually too, but I'm doing what I can at home for now. Do you workout? If so, what do you like to do for exercise?

No I don't work out but would like to start, I'm wanting to get a Wii fit again and start that way. Keep up the awesome work!

That's understandable, and it's good to want to start! Wii Fit is a great idea :) My Zumba workout was on the Wii!

For strength training you can find different things to use at home. Like a gallon of milk. Just keep lifting and lowering it. Great job starting.

@MommyOfEli2013 It would still help. You dont need a lot of weight unless you want to get into body building.

I do have some weights, they just aren't very heavy. And I have weighted gloves for a strength training kickboxing workout.

I used to. I don't anymore. I used tot each dancing - tap, ballet, jazz until my body stopped cooperating. If I had a choice of exercises that I would be allowed to do I would choose Zumba.

I am sorry that you don't anymore, but I understand. That's awesome that you taught dance though, that sounds like fun! And yes Zumba is great :)

Nice job. I do water aerobics, Pilates and yoga at the gym. I also walk to the store, the gym, even to church depending on the weather.

@MommyOfEli2013 Thanks! Yes it is. But when it's cold outside, it's not picnic. That's why I skip the gym since I don't drive.

Water aerobics sounds like fun! And that's great that you do the others as well! And walking to those places when you can is good :)

I workout 3-4 times a week at the gym. It is very similar to CrossFit.

Yeah. I'm working out 5 times a week mostly strength trainings and I'm feeling so good about myself. For example if I'm depressed I will go for a run or for a walk so that is one of the greatest ways to feel better.

That is good to workout 5 times a week....and strength training is great! And that is good to do some form of exercise when you feel depressed....definitely helps even though it might not sound like it would.
