Well my co-worker still hasn't came back to work yet. Not sure what is going on with her. I never seen anybody miss so much time unless they were in the hospital. I don't even think that she called in today. My boss isn't saying too much which is surprising usually by now he would be very upset.
I am so tired after little sleep last night. I am trying to get all my work done before I leave for my doctor's appointment because I don't know how long I will be or if I will have time to come back to work for a few hours. It usually doesn't take very long for a visit but you never know.
Not a lot going on here..same ole..same ole...
Hope you are all have a super fantastic day/night!!

You said she calls in a few days every month, sounds like she cant work and cope with her monthly visit from Mrs. Ruby.

Too much work can overwhelm you. It isn't right.

It sounds as if either your boss know more than he is letting on or else he doesn't really care about whether she stays or not. You had said there were layoffs before, right?
Anyway, I would do as much work as possible before going to the appointment so that when / if you got back, there wouldn't be as much to do.

I have worked for a lot of years.
I started my current job about 9 weeks ago.
I have not had any sick days.
Someone commented on that and asked how I do it.
What's with people? Don't they need a job for the pay? Not too many companies provide paid sick time, and when employees just don't call in, then its grounds for dismissal.
Its sad that employers are treated so poorly and allow it.

@Happy2BeMe No me either, I have had an episode where I had pneumonia and had a doctor's note for a couple of weeks, and then last summer when I fell I was off for over a month-but that was a workplace injury, otherwise I don't call in sick. Little things like a cold I can work thru.

Before my heart attack I had worked 30 years and may have taken 3 days in that time. I haven't called in sick once since I returned to work over a year ago.
