Which song touches you the most?? There are a few German ones which you might not know, but I also like the songs Iris by Goo Goo Dolls and The Power of Love by Frankie goes to Hollywood. The songs which make me cry the most is 'One more year of Daddy's little girl' and 'Butterfly kisses'.

I am not German and I honestly dont know much about German music, but there is one old song that breaks my heart every time i hear it. The singer is Udo Lindenberg and I cant spell the title in German, but in English it means "I dont love you anymore" - do you know this song?

Hi Zebrochka - thank you for your nice comments. Yes, I do know the song by Udo Lindenberg. It's called "Ich lieb Dich überhaupt nicht mehr". So have you heard that song in English, or do you just like the melody? Did anybody ever translate the lyrics to you? I'm so curious now =)

Thanks for writing the name of the song in German for me!
Well... once I was posing for a friend of mine.
Her hobby is to make photo portraits.
She asked me if I could cry for her a little bit to make a portrait of a crying girl. I told her that it wouldn´t be a problem, the only thing I needed was a nice sad song which would make me remember some things and feel sorry for myself... So she put this one and translated if for me.
I found it very beautiful, both the lyrics and the music. Besides, I just like the way German language sounds, so... :-)

How about Nina Hagen's 'Unbeschreiblich Weiblich? Or the Ina Deter Band with 'Neue Manner Braucht Das Land'?
All good fun. Personally I like 'Accept Yourself' by The Smiths very much.
