Gotta go tackle those dirty dishes

There is a whole kitchen counter of dirty dishes, utensils, cups, pots and pans. You name it. I have no desire to wash them but wash them I must. So, that's what I am going to do. They've been sitting there since yesterday.
Even if I don't wash all the dirty dishes right away or the same day, by the next day they are done. I never leave dirty dishes around for many days. I always make sure they are done, even if I may not be in the mood to tackle them.
If only I was like this when it comes to more important things in my life that should not be put off or left undone.

Many nights I leave them in the sink until the next day. The last thing I want to do after cooking dinner is dealing with the dishes. Sometimes my husband is sweet and will do them for me. If not, I usually just leave them to deal with when I get home from work or the gym the next day.
that being said, I have a dishwasher. When I was without one for 3 months last fall, I was miserable. I HATE hand-washing dishes.

My husband washes the dishes sometimes but most of the time it's on me, even if I am the one doing the cooking, which is usually me.

We do have a dishwasher at home. I tried using it once and there was black residue or whatever that's called, so I am not washing dishes there anymore. Maybe the residue was because the dishwasher had not been used in a long time.

@lovebuglena Girl, you should try that thing again! You are NUTS for hand-washing dishes when you have a dishwasher.

Washing dishes is the worse. I usually wash them the next day.

Let me tell you, I'd rather wash dishes than clean mirrors and toilets and the floors.

For sure. Well as frustrating as it is at times to wash dishes it can be soothing and relaxing.

@lovebuglena We are both retired now, so it's never super late. I prepare supper always at the same time and, after I wash the dishes, we sit together watching the TV.

If it's super late I'd rather spend time with my husband than wash dishes, so I leave them for the next day.

I have a dish-washer so I'm very lucky in that respect. I'm one of those who don't like leaving dishes in the sink so I hand-wash anything I can't put in the dish-washer..

I hate leaving dishes in the sink as well, so I move them to the counter 
if I am not in the mood to wash the dishes or am just too tired or it's super late.

Aha. And the fun times continued this morning with last night's dinner's stuff. But now there are dirty things from breakfast that are sitting in the sink and later will be dinner stuff. Tempted to switch to throw away dishes but don't wanna waste money on that.
