Climbing to the top of Blarney Castle:) Making Dreams comes true :)

Climbing Blarney Castle was no easy task for me.. But I did it:) So there I was standing out front of Blarney Castle, it was my dream come true really. Always wanted to go there and finally at 37 years of age I had finally made it there:) I was nervous and so were some of the other people in my group but we all decided we were there now and must accomplish our dream to kiss the beloved stone. I can remember ever tight spot and narrow corner as we climbed each step and thoughts of me turning back were beginning to occur but a new buddy I had made in the tour group I was in said if you don’t do this you will regret it and seeing as you made it all the way to Ireland by yourself this was a piece of cake. So when we got to the sign that said you could turn around now if you would like, I decided to keep on going. There was this couple from Texas the wife said nope I am turning around now and the husband kept on going he needed to get the picture but she was having nothing to do with it. Why did she climb it to begin with I am not sure as she was petrified. Before I knew it we were at the top and I was next in line to kiss the Blarney stone. In that one moment my whole life flashed before me, not because I thought I was going to die or anything just because I was so excited and could not believe I finally made it to where I had wanted to be my entire life. I learned something that afternoon. Never give up on your dreams. Keep going even if it’s tough and you feel that there is never a way. There is always a way because trust me. I never thought I would end up in the one place I always dreamed of travelling to and that was Ireland in Sept of 2018. Cheers Irishlasskicker
