Do your pets sleep in your bed at night?

I have two cats. The older cat sleeps in the bed in the spare room. I can hear him snoring in the other room. He comes in my bed in the morning when the alarm goes off to snuggle before I get up to get ready for work. My other cat let's me know when he wants to go to bed. He will keep pacing the floor to let me know it's bedtime. As soon as I get in bed he snuggles right in and he stays there all night until the alarm goes off. For those of you will pets, do you allow them to sleep in your bed?

I don't have my baby anymore; however, when I did, she was more than welcome to sleep in my bed. In fact, as she got older and developed arthritis in her back legs I made steps so she could get up on the bed without jumping. My allergist told me she shouldn't be allowed in my bedroom, and I told him I could get a new allergist but never a new dog, so there!

No, I am allergic to animals and I would have an asthma attack, But I have always had animals my entire life. If the cat stays in he sleeps in his own little bed. but he wants outside 99% of the time.

We used to let them sleep on the bed but encouraged them to stay down at our feet. They didn't always take the hint.

We dont necessarily allow it. But the cat does sleep part of each night on moms bed, and once in awhile on mine. He also sleeps on them during the days sometimes.

I don’t have any pets now. Years ago I did have dogs that used to sleep beside me or on my feet keeping them warm

@Hannihar Somewhat, but I wouldn’t be able to walk them, especially in the snow, rain or cold. Plus now I cannot afford one. If I had money and a house with a yard or could afford a dog walker then I would get another one.

@Happy2BeMe especially as I can't sleep on a perch... and hamsters are largely nocturnal.

@Happy2BeMe I have a cat and in winter she likes to sleep with me. The cat I had before this one also slept on my bed. I think that is so cool that your cat paces the floor till you want to go to bed.

My older cat was the perfect bedtime companion. He went to sleep when I did and stayed until morning. The kitten is more likely to crash somewhere else..but he will lay down with me periodically. He isn't too much of a snuggler.

@Happy2BeMe Yeah,,he kind of does what suits him..not sure his personality will change too much, but you never know. The other cat was very social from a young age.

I have allowed them. But the dogs we have right now are bed hogs. Somehow me and hubby end up on the very edge of a queen sized bed. And that is with just the smallest dog in bed who is only around 20 pounds.

First of all, I don't have a pet. If I have a pet like a dog or cat (not a crocodile), I would never let 'em sleep with me. I am allergic to so many things. By the way did you read the news about that (stupid) Indonesian woman, who had a huge crocodile as a pet? Her pet ate her! I don't understand why some people love to have crocodiles, snakes, and other wild animals as pets! Stupid! My wife and I are thinking of having a cute shitsu as pet when we retire.

@antonbunot I do not find cats and dogs that way. My dog never slept on the bed but down below. My cat before slept with me and Sophie sleeps with me in the winter. I would not have a crocodile.

Shitsus are so cute!! No I didnt see that story but I don't get it....I mean having a crocodile as a pet you have to know sooner or later it is not going to end well for you. Some people.
