Seriously that's true. If you are using salads in your daily diet, than you are at a risk of increasing your weight But wait a minute that is only if you intake salads with your favorite "mayonnaise and cream" 1tbsp of mayonnaise has 94% calories, now who is going to make it with just one tbsp And cream has 70% calories, 7.5g fat and 4.5g saturated fat per tbsp Now imagine what's that going to make out of you with all that tasty tasty mayonnaise and cream

Yes, it's the mayonnaise and dressing that adds the calories.

It's wrong to say that salads can increase your weight, it's the seasoning and not the salad. Add only vinegar and you do not gain weight.

One of my favorite weekly treats was a salad bowl from Publix. Now these were huge salads and I ate it all by myself . Never gained an ounce. But that was before my metabolism went rogue

It's not the salad, it's the seasoning. I add nothing to my salad when I diet, I eat the salad without any kind of seasoning.

@kavinitu The vegetables, except very few like avocados and bananas, have few calories.

That's exactly what you said, its the seasoning that people add to the salad in the name of some taste.

Hi, just use less of the salad dressings. Not sure what cream means. If the salad is the meal, it won't be as bad. Are you new at myLot? I don't remember seeing you here before.

Hello Jo Ann, that's true the dressing on the salad should be reduced else not add anything extra. Have been here on myLot since 3 years its only that I am not that often here. You could check out this link to know about cream:-

Yeah that is also right, for the sake of some taste we do add things that just add up more weight.

I don't put any dressings on my salads when I eat them at home, but I do when I eat out as a treat. I always ask for my dressing on the side and just dip my fork into it and then spear my salad.

A salad without mayo or mustard on it it's not that tasty for me. Why is it that the most delicious things are the ones that we have to avoid? :( I can't get life :(

@kavinitu Yeah absolutely. As the way I see it I will be eating those things as much as I can while i am still young, once I am 30 years old, I will start watching what I eat. LOL I am sure that any nutritionist who reads this will say that i am so wrong.
