Well... "Glass" is the newest film by Indian director M. Night Shyamalan. More precisely, it's the end of the trilogy begun in the 2000s with "Unbreakable" (starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson ) and in 2016, with "Split" (starring James McAvoy).
I think with this sequence, Shyamalan wanted to bring an epic conclusion to the characters already known in the previous movies (which, by the way, are great), but the most he could do was create a lot of expectation and show little result. Beyond that, a lot of boring moments / scenes.
Even though it's a film that, in general, is well-produced, interesting and has its positives (although very few) finds its biggest problem in the excess of subplots, which end up inflating the script too much and dispersing the interest of the viewer. At one point, the film simply get highly uninteresting and then, catching the breath again.
The lack of deepening of the characters (although the cast is great), the lack of interaction between them, the misuse of some new characters and the final nothing shocking (as usually is the preference of the director, that here, missed the chance to deliver an incredible third act) make this film just something laughable and linear (something between bad and good).
It's not the worst film in Shyamalan's career (but in this film he demonstrates, once again, the weak hand that has to be a movie director), but it sure won't be remembered in a few years as "The Sixth Sense".
GRADE: +C.

I agree 100% with you.
I think The Sixth Sense will always be his best movie.

For those who like his work, I recommend it (it's not my case... I just watched it only because I had already watched the two previous films of the trilogy).
As I said, it's not his best job (it took a lot of breath to create something epic) but it's an interesting movie (specially for his fans).

@hillhjill I agree with you.
So, perhaps, my expectation for a big conclusion was very high.

I liked "Split" but didn't know it was a sequel …. I do want to see "Glass" but now I won't expect too much from it. Thanks for the review
