So experts say that January 21 is the most depressing day of the year? They base this on the facts that because the holidays are officially over, some may be somewhat broke because they spent to much money in the month of December, most people have given up on their new years resolutions. Oh and one last thing , you may have participated in dry January meaning no alcohol ( that may be hard for some... So what do you think is it really that depressing for you? Today I sit here and the sun is belting into my art room as I type this , that is a good sign right? yeah I know its freezing cold out there but the sun feels so warm on my cheeks. That is not depressing right? They say try and exercise, eat healthy get a good nights sleep and all this will help. I know it's not as easy as it looks , I actually was on a good roll to the point where I lost 30 lbs and never felt better this all happened after I returned from Ireland Sept 2018 after the holidays were over I fell off the wagon and now I am still sort of keeping the weight off but all the other stuff not so much. I wonder why that happened to me? I am not sure if it has anything to do with this day at all because honestly today I feel amazing but all the days before maybe the experts should have named those day the most depressing days of the year !! At least for me anyway

@Irishlasskicker It has to be a result of others not dealing with depression.

I know what you mean , I have dealt with depressing on and off for the better part of my life so making one day of the year the most depressing is kind of strange but its just a bunch of psychologist that got together and wrote about it I guess so it's why I chose to write about it today and see what everyone thinks,

@CarolDM yeah maybe I know January can be a tough month even for those that have never dealt with depression

In spite of the crap that is going on in my husband's health, I feel pretty good. If I had the same sunshine you have I would probably be on top of the world. More depressing to me is the stupid government shut down and all the people who are suffering from it. We will likely have sun tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

Yeah I feel for all of you that are having to deal with that shut down. I don't get your president at all and I hope that it gets solved sooner or later without to much trouble. and I hope for lots of sunshine coming your way and good health for your husband

I don't remember the last time I had a depressing minute, let alone a day!!
Losing weight is easy--keeping it off is another story! PS Semantics--when you lose something you look for it so instead of losing weight get rid of it!!
