Writing for Wikipedia

Has anyone tried being a contributor or even editing an article on Wikipedia? I've always been curious as to how the grand online encyclopedia works. Earlier, I was searching about neighborhood sundry stores. In the Philippines, we call those small grocery stores, "sari-sari store," and as I have my entrepreneurial spirit, I once had my own but with a twist since it had imported products (just within Asia).
Anyhow, has anyone tried making any corrections on Wikipedia?

I think not all the people can correct it. Even if wikipedia is open source, they will not allow people who they don't approve to correct it. Maybe you need to register as their contributor?

@Jeanne_KaSaHa I think you need a Gmail account.. You can try checking it out on their Registration page, wherein you need to create like a profile..

I don't think this is possible for anyone. Temhey have their own panel of researchers and writers

You should be able to correct it. There are errors there.

I have never tried to correct anything on Wiki. There is information online on how to do this.
