Bright Flowers

They brighten up the place, certainly. But it's not the flowers that do that. The flowers are small white rather tiny ones. It is the papery bracts that surrounds them that range through a wide variety of hues.The leaves are bright green.Together the plant makes a colourful display
The striking Bougainville is a thorny creeper or bush. Magenta, red, orange, rust, white, pink and bi coloured, these plants are used either on boundary walls or as small bushes in containers.

I depend on my bougainvillae to brighten up our garden when all else fails to. I have many colours.

@responsiveme I really did. Its amazing what a little bit of trimming and car can do to your bougainvillea. Bonsai is interesting for a beginner like me bougainvilleas are good.

Actually we take them so much for granted. The airport approach makes a wonderful display.

i wish mine'd get that happy'n show such a magnificent display! alas, i've only 2 left livin' 'n they've thus far failed to dazzle me with bracts since they came 'ndoors fer winter.
