Alcatraz prison on its island in San Francisco harbor in CA is fascinating. Among its most famous 'guests' was Al Capone, in prison for tax evasion, not his 'gangster' activities. Access to the prison is by ferry, with an audio guide for self conducted tours. The pic is of a typical cell.
