Should best friend be around the same age? I wanted other people's opinion on this because I have a best friend is about 25 years older then me I know it might be weird to some people, but we just get along really well and she has the best advice (probably because everything I go thru she already has), but another friend of mine said it's weird, I mean I met her at work and we just have been friend since.
So the is question do you guys think Best Friends should be close in age?

Absolutely not! You can be best friends with a person older than you, it is even better cause most older people give you their opinion about life so you do not make their same mistakes. I had the privilege to be in a friendship with a person 23 years old older than me, and believe me I learned so many things from him.

@LovelyRoyal Thanks, I felt like sharing my point of view because I have experienced before, and that person changed my life. So go for it, respect, defend and love your friendship with your friend. Good luck!

I don't think age matters, it is who you connect with.

Age doesn't matter, I also have a very good friend who's over 20 years older than me but I think that as long as we get along, connect, and support each other, then that's all that matters.

@LovelyRoyal I've meet her in my work. She's my co-teacher. She's so sweet and kind.

A best friend does not have to be the same age as you. It should be someone you have things in common.

Yes, I think they should be. That's not to say we can't have friends who are older/younger than we are but in that case I think the older person takes on the role of mentor or 'life guide' to the younger person

I do not think so, and even I think its very needed sometimes. As its not friends with benefit. She will give you advice without getting any benefits. She will not give you any bad advice. She is more experienced. I mean She saw the world more than you , right?
