Iguana Worries

It is nowhere near as cold in Florida as it is up north, of course. Yet, for us it is still cold and the iguanas have fallen out of the trees. We have a nice little chap with a red head and a green body who lives in our backyard. Yesterday, he had turned fully black (they are cold-blooded) and was laid out in a sprawled position on the tile in the back, hoping for any warmth he could get. I was careful not to let the dogs out to get him (that's all I need.) It was 49 degrees in the night, so I hope he made it. They slow down big-time but they do have ways of surviving usually.

We had one sneak in through an open gate. He sunned himself next to my husband at the pool, then left.

@yecall Do you have a lot of them making their way to your back yard?
